How can we help you?

How We Protect Your Data

In an era of digital hardware, we believe your personal information should be as secure as a locked vault. We use “defense-in-depth” strategies to ensure that your shopping experience is private and safe.

Data Encryption

  • In Transit: Every interaction between your browser and our store is shielded by 256-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. This prevents anyone from “listening in” on your connection.

  • At Rest: Your personal details, such as addresses and order history, are stored on encrypted servers that are protected by advanced firewalls.

Payment Integrity

We follow the PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). This means we never see, store, or have access to your full credit card number. All transactions are handled by encrypted tokens through our secure payment partners.

Our Privacy Promise

  • No Selling Data: We never sell your email address or shopping habits to third-party advertisers.

  • Minimal Collection: We only collect the data necessary to process your order and improve your experience.

  • Control: You have the right to request a copy of your data or ask for its deletion at any time through our Privacy Portal.

2. Using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

For a gadget store account—which may contain your saved shipping addresses and payment tokens—a password is often not enough. We strongly recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to add an extra layer of armor to your account.

Why use 2FA?

Even if a hacker somehow gets your password, they won’t be able to log in without a unique, time-sensitive code generated on your physical device.

How to Enable 2FA

  1. Log in to your account and go to Account Settings.

  2. Navigate to the Security tab.

  3. Select Enable Two-Factor Authentication.

  4. Choose your method:

    • Authenticator App (Recommended): Use apps like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Bitwarden to scan the QR code provided.

    • SMS/Email: Receive a 6-digit code via text or email every time you log in from a new device.

  5. Save your Recovery Codes: We will provide a list of one-time use codes. Print these or save them in a secure place (like a password manager). These are your only way back in if you lose your phone!

When will you be asked for a code?

  • When logging in from a new browser or IP address.

  • Before changing your account password.

  • Before updating your saved payment methods.
